Follow Along with AutoAssembler™ Step by Step

These tutorials demonstrate how to use AutoAssembler's UI to analyze assembly designs, create a process plan, and author digital work instructions. Download the CAD assembly STEP file, play the tutorial videos, and work through the same assembly flow at your own pace. All functionality is also available via robust APIs for integration with your existing workflows.

Download CAD

Download the sample CAD assembly before starting the tutorials.

Tutorial 1

Upload

Upload a CAD assembly to AutoAssembler™. The EBOM is converted to the MBOM by assigning parts into TaskNodes, which are containers for manufacturing steps resulting in subassemblies. TaskNodes can map to work stations in an assembly line.

Tutorial 2

Analyze

Analyze the CAD assembly for design issues, interference, and getting inventory of standard hardware.

Tutorial 3

Assign

Identify supplier-purchased subassemblies, assign parts to TaskNodes, and create the MBOM structure. TaskNodes can also be auto-populated by defining assignments directly via API calls.

Tutorial 4

Plan

Use AI planning to automatically generate assembly sequences, reorder plans, auto-validate, and diagnose issues.

Tutorial 5

Draft

Capture subassembly views, author model-based digital work instructions, and export them as PDF or API output.

Tutorial 6

Compare

Compare reference and revised designs to identify changes, evaluate impact on the MBOM/BOP.
